Explanation of points:
Points will be awarded at every stroke play event the World Junior Golf Series conducts. The top ten finishers in the boys and girls at each tournament will accumulate points. The points race will begin in June at the Icelandic Junior Masters will end at the United States Junior Masters in December 2009. Here is how the point’s structure will work:
1st Place - 1000 Points |
6th Place - 300 Points | |
2nd Place - 700 Points |
7th Place - 250 Points | |
3rd Place - 550 Points |
8th Place - 200 Points | |
4th Place - 400 Points |
9th Place - 150 Points | |
5th Place - 350 Points |
10th Place - 100 Points |
If there are ties for a specific place, the points will be split evenly.
For example, a three player tie for 3rd place would result in each player receiving 433 points
(1300 total points for 3rd ,4th and 5th divided evenly among three players).
