WORLD JUNIOR GOLF SERIES

Introduction to the "World Junior Golf Rankings"™

The "World Junior Golf Ranking"™
Administrated by the World Junior Golf Series (WJGS)

The mission of the World Junior Golf Ranking™ is to promote true global competition among the world’s junior golfers by developing a ranking system based on a player-centric, holistic, and unifying philosophy. The World Junior Golf Ranking™ will include a minimum of 10 international junior golf events. The World Junior Golf Ranking™ will also serve as a way to bring together golf’s governing bodies, federations, independents, and tours to help standardize junior golf on a global scale.

The purpose of the WJGS is to develop worldwide the next generation of golfers to compete on a global scale while demonstrating honesty, integrity, and honorable sportsmanship. By participating in the World Junior Golf Ranking™, the WJGS and other participating golf organizations will demonstrate they have made a commitment to advance young golfers’ development as both athletes and future leaders.

The primary goal of the World Junior Golf Ranking™ is to create consistent criteria to define a world-class junior golf event, thereby resulting in only those events that currently meet the criteria to participate in the World Junior Golf Ranking™. The use of consistent event criteria will benefit both players and governing organizations by ensuring the participating junior golf events provide a positive, competitive experience designed to preserve, sustain, and emulate the true Spirit of the Game.

By participating in sanctioned events, the most diverse and strongest competitors will be motivated to compete with other young golfers around the world. Global competition gives these athletes experiences that they will never forget, both on and off the golf course. In addition to the competition itself, individual participants of the sanctioned or ranked events will have the opportunity to access resources designed to help them improve and grow as both a competitor and a person. Each event provides valuable experiences that encourage and develop a respect for different cultures and people.
